Nick may be a baseball fan as he uses sports terms to disqualify Eric such as 'Major League asshole' or a 'gold medal asshole'. He is shown to be religious during a conversation with Jason, talking about how they're being punished for their sins and can potentially use a cross to defend himself against the Ancient One. In combat situations, Nick coordinates himself well with Jason, although during the heat of the battlefield, he experiences more doubt than him in those cases and can be responsible for mistakes that can cost the lives of his teammates.

Nick, like Merwin, doesn't have full respect about the laws of wars either and is fully willing to bring the WP rounds on the battlefield but knows well enough to not use it on people. Also, during the assault of the shepherds' village, if Jason doesn't give an order, Nick will take the initiative and act cautiously. Nick seems to be a pacifist and understand that the Iraqi people did not ask for the war. However, Nick has been traumatized in a shootout that resulted in the death of a civilian and overwhelmed him with guilt. Nick is a competent soldier and has the full trust of Jason. He is described in-game as defensive and romantic. During the events of the game, he is armed with a modified M4A1 carbine. In the opening raid, he is also seen with a gas mask. He has a prominent USMC tattoo near his left shoulder.
